Ridge Community High School serves grades 9-12, with a student body of approximately 1,700. The school is guided by Principal Sherry Wells, Assistant Principal of Curriculum Russell Donnelly and Assistant Principal of Facilities Dale Fryzel. Schedules Update
Ridge Community High School is adjusting schedules due to FCAT scores and a new state accountability plan. Freshmen schedules will be mailed on Monday, August 11. Students will need to bring these schedules to orientation. We are making every attempt to complete 10th-12th prior to Wednesday, August 13. If they are completed by the 13th, they will be mailed. Otherwise, students will receive them on the first day of school.
Orientation on Thursday, August 14th
Orientation for 9th graders and new upperclassmen (not returning students), will be Thursday, August 14, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Report to the auditorium upon arrival.
Yearbooks Ready to Be Picked Up
Students can pick up the 2007-08 yearbook on Thursday, August 14, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., in the cafeteria. There are still a few for sale at $65 each.
Cheer Camp
Cheerleading camp will be held on campus August 4-8 from 9:30-2 p.m.
Football Conditioning
Football conditioning will be June 23-July 2, from 6-8 p.m. All completed physical paperwork required.
Volleyball Tryouts
Volleyball tryouts will be August 11-15 in the gymnasium. Athletes must have physical and consent paperwork completed by a doctor prior to trying out. Attendance all days is mandatory. Tryouts will be from 6-8:30 p.m. all days except Thursday, due to student orientation. Thursday's tryout will be 9-11:30 a.m.
New Schedules Coming
The 2008-09 student schedules will be mailed to the home address on file, no later than August 1.
