About RCHS Media Center

Who do we serve?

Ridge Community High School's Main Campus Media Center serves approximately 1500 students in grades 10-12. On our Freshmancampus
the media center serves approximently 600 students.

What about computers?

Our computers on both campuses are equipped with Internet access and with Microsoft Office package - Word/Excel/PowerPoint. A printer
is available for students. Each student is allowed to print up to four pages.

What hours is the Media Center open?

The Media Center opens daily at 6:50AM. It remains open until 3:00PM Monday through Friday.

How many books can I checkout?

Three (3) regular books may be checked out at a time for ten (10) days. We use the Follett software DESTINY as a catalog/circulation
system. Students may search for books using this system.

Can I put a book on hold?

If a book is checked out, a student may request the book be put on hold for checkout once it becomes available. The student should pick
up the book within one week after being notified or the book will be returned to the shelf.

What if my book is overdue?

It is the student's responsibility to return books on time. Date due slips are located in each of the books to serve as a reminder. Fees for
overdue books begin one week after the due date.
